Specialty Materials Business & Technical Consultant

Role Overview

We’re seeking a full-time remote consultant with a background in materials science or chemical engineering to help expand our portfolio of products and services into adjacent or emerging markets.

This is a strategic and technical role involving:

Market development and opportunity identification
Technical evaluation of new product pathways
Support for contract R&D and government-funded programs
Client engagement and proposal generation

Ideal Background

We welcome candidates with the following:

Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering (BS, MS, or PhD)
Hands-on R&D or product development experience
Experience with government or industry-funded projects
Ability to bridge technical innovation with market application
Strong communication and client-facing skills

Preferred (but not required):

Industrial experience in specialty chemicals, batteries, coatings, or additive materials
Familiarity with proposal writing or SBIR/STTR programs
Business development exposure in materials sector
