Silicon (Si) has attracted great attention due to its remarkably high theoretical specific capacity of ~4200 mAh/g, making it one of the most potential anode materials for advancing high-energy lithium-ion batteries. Si-Graphite composite (Si-C) offers the leverage to improve the electrochemical properties of Si with excellent stability attributed to the surrounding carbon-based matrix and improved electric conductivity network. Si-C tapes showed a nominal capacity of 750 mAh/g at 0.05C (electrode loading, 4 mAh/cm2) and demonstrated excellent cycling stability at 0.2C rate.

NANOMYTE® BE-150E is a cast electrode tape of Silicon-Graphite composite powder. The standard anode tape is cast on 5 inch x 10 inch sheets of copper foil, single-side coated with an 85% active material loading (20% silicon / 65% graphite). Our tapes can also be customized to accommodate different active material loadings, coating thickness, binder type (aqueous/non-aqueous), and binder content, as well as choice of current collector. Select a tab below to learn more.

Precautions for Safe Handling:
Appropriate personal protective equipment should be used at all times. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid formation of dust and aerosols. Further processing of solid materials may result in the formation of combustible dusts. The potential for combustible dust formation should be taken into consideration before additional processing occurs. Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed.

Conditions for Safe Storage:
Store in a dry and sealed pouch or under inert atmosphere while not in use. Avoid moisture. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Avoid contamination with incompatible materials.

Do you provide any additional materials or compositions not listed?

If you are looking for a particular material or composition not found in our list of products, we may be able to make it for you. As a Specialty Materials company, NEI specializes in producing non-commodity cathode, anode, and solid electrolyte battery materials with compositions and powder morphologies that are not readily readily found in the market.

Can I have a free sample to see if it works for my application?

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide free samples for a number of reasons.

What is the minimum quantity order for your electrode sheets?

The minimum order quantity is 2 sheets per material composition and specification.

How can I place an order?

NEI sells and ships it’s battery materials directly from Somerset, NJ. We accept company and university purchase orders, or we can provide you with an order form. We can also accept orders through third-party buyers. For customers in Korea or Japan, we will put you in touch with our respective representative in your country, and you can place an order directly through them.

What kinds of payments do you accept?

NEI accepts several forms of payment:
