Lithium Manganese Nickel Oxide (LMNO / Spinel) Tapes

Lithium manganese nickel oxide / spinel (LiMn1.5Ni0.5O4) is a cathode material that can be charged at high voltage (5V). Due to the high potential, the material has a higher energy density compared to lithium cobalt oxide and lithium iron phosphate. LMNO-based batteries can be used in high energy and high rate applications.

NANOMYTE® SP-10E is a cast electrode tape of NEI’s LMNO powder, which is produced by a novel process that leads to exceptional cycling stability. NANOMYTE® SP-10CE is a cast electrode tape of our LATP-coated LMNO powder. Both standard cathode tapes are cast on 5 inch x 10 inch sheets of aluminum foil, single-side coated with a 90% active material loading. Our tapes can also be customized to accommodate different active material loadings, coating thickness, binder type (aqueous/non-aqueous), and binder content, as well as choice of current collector.
